BMS Controls Engineer (Trend)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated BMS Controls Engineer who has experience of working on TREND products. Other product knowledge of Honeywell Centraline and Tridium are a bonus. The role will be London based.

What Are The Key Responsibilities Of This Role?

  • Pre-commissioning control panels, field devices and main plant items (motors, inverters etc) onto the panel
  • Commissioning controllers, networks and field devices into a complete control system
  • Writing and commissioning controller software through to the Graphical user interface; configuring and commissioning graphics
  • Handing over and demonstrating the completed system to the customer
  • Assist with installation supervision and contractor liaison
  • Provide reactive and (PPM) planned maintenance on BMS Systems
  • Provide routine servicing to BMS Systems when required
  • Working as part of the maintenance team to provide well rounded and quick response assistance
  • Forming part of the 24/7 call out rota
  • Portraying the company in a good light at all times
  • Predominantly a London based role with some work in the Home Counties (about 10% of your time)

Skills and Experience

  • Experience commissioning BMS systems is essential
  • Educated in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; familiar with networks and third party interfaces
  • Extensive knowledge of BMS systems and HVAC applications
  • Experience of working on Trend BMS previously
  • Experience of fault finding, service and maintenance on BMS systems
  • Experience of working in a similar role previously
  • Drivers license

Trainee BMS Controls Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Trainee BMS Controls Engineer. You must be passionate about crossing the bridge over to BMS Controls Engineering as we will be providing excellent support and training to develop you.

What Type Of Person Are We Looking For?

You must have the following background for us to consider you for this role:

  • Previous knowledge and experience within Building Management Services (not necessarily controls).
  • An electrical background is highly preferable. If you have worked as a electrician for Building Management Services then we want to hear from you.
  • You must understand how HVAC systems work and awareness of the industry.
  • You will have electrical installation and panel knowledge.
  • If you've had some exposure to Controls Systems then this is definitely desirable (but not essential).
  • Is prepared to work in the EC postcode of London in addition to other parts of London.
  • You will be energetic, highly motivated and passionate about a career in BMS Controls Engineering. We are going invest in you so we want people with a POSITIVE CAN-DO attitude.

What Are The Key Responsibilities Of This Role?

You will spend up to 6 months training to become a BMS Controls Engineer to a level where you can perform service maintenance visits and carry out some reactive work. You will have a dedicated (Senior) Engineer to supervise you and will be sent on manufacturer courses with TREND and HONEYWELL as well as industry courses with the BCIA (British Controls Industry Association) if required.
